In an era where global digitalization is rapidly accelerating, information security and system reliability have become fundamental to sustaining social operations and national security. Modern life depends heavily on information technologies, and a wide range of systems, platforms, and services are directly linked to the protection of personal data, privacy, and critical infrastructure. Whether these systems are capable of addressing continually evolving threats and safeguarding data and user rights remains a central concern today.
The Cryptology and Information Security Conference (CISC), organized annually by the Chinese Cryptology and Information Security Association (CCISA), has been held for 35 consecutive years and is one of Taiwan’s major academic events in the field of information security. Each year, the conference attracts several hundred participants. Scholars, experts, and professionals from academia, industry, and government are invited to contribute. In addition to paper presentations, the conference offers opportunities for technical exchange, experience sharing, dissemination of research outcomes, and knowledge transfer. Through this event, collaboration among academic institutions, government agencies, and industry is strengthened, thereby enhancing Taiwan’s research capacity in information security.
The 36th CISC will be jointly organized by National Cheng Kung University and CCISA. Following the established format, the conference will invite scholars from academia, professionals from industry, researchers from public and private institutes, and experts in information security to present their work. Keynote speeches and technical sessions will also be arranged, with the aim of advancing both the research quality and practical applicability of information security in Taiwan. Government agencies, corporate managers, technical specialists, and senior security personnel will be broadly invited to participate. The conference provides a platform for exchanging experiences between academic research and real-world practice, helping experts and scholars stay informed about the latest trends and developments in information security.
A dedicated exhibition area for industry vendors will also be included, allowing companies to showcase products and demonstrate practical security solutions. This enhances interaction among participants and fosters mutual benefit. Moreover, undergraduate and graduate students presenting papers will gain valuable exposure to academic communication, helping them broaden their research perspectives and deepen their interest and sensitivity toward information security topics.
